One of the most basic literary and artistic impulses of all. Found on the Fallowfield Loop in Manchester between Whalley Range and Fallowfield.

(the softness of fresh concrete -- how the finger sifts sand to symbol, an abstraction of that which we can't ever explain, our names, our i, our us -- it feels good to somehow make it solid, yet the crumblings will never cease coming.)

One of the things that interests me here is the small, scratchy PSYCHO, drawn next to the Mc.
I also like how two upper crosspieces on the last E of ERE open quotes around 2001, and are then closed by what appear to be intentional quotes.
