new sounds

I haven't made much time this year to work with sound.

Tonight I spent some time improvising and developing an idea I've wanted to try out for a while.

The recording is below. It's pretty messy in places but overall I'm happy with it.

It's sort of a version of The North Country Maid. Only just over 15 minutes long with a field recording and looped sounds created from objects.

I'll write some more about my sound making soon. The main thing I want to explain when I do is why I feel I'm moving away from sound poetry.
