another sound experiment

This is perhaps even more of an experiment than yesterday's piece even though it seems simpler.

It's the Christian song The Good Old Way retitled Thee Good Old Wayy for this re-versioning.

It uses two mics, voice, two microcassette players - one with a field recording of Manchester and one with a reading from my New York diary slowed down, and a loop with voice and another field recording.

Although it sounds closer to the original than yesterday's version of The North Country Maid this was actually harder to record live because I had more to do.

I wouldn't say either piece is near a final version but they indicate my current explorations in sound.
