repair work on mask

There hasn't been much to post on the masks in a while. The second attempt at the second mask has been slowly drying for what must be a couple of months now.

On the weekend I noticed that while it was drying and beginning to come away from the pot there were also some deep cracks forming.

I went back to the studio this evening to work on a couple of things - the new sculptural form and the idols, which I'll blog shortly - and took the opportunity to do some running repairs.

I'm not confident the repairs have totally fixed the cracks. The aim though is just to make sure it comes out in one piece - then do any major work required.

They're not great before and after shots but I hope they're effective enough illustrations.
