walk - a day in chester 29 august 2018
A few weeks ago I passed St Werburgh's Church here in Manchester. I looked up who St Werburgh was and found out that she was an Anglo-Saxon princess, patron saint of Chester, and granddaughter of pagan King Penda.
That gave me the thought that I'd like to visit Chester during this holiday. I finally got round to it today, and in doing so a new dream was born. Next summer I may try to walk back to Manchester from Chester.
