pomona, cyrus. - new poetry sequence

Yesterday, inspired by the government's repeated slogan 'stay (at) home, protect the NHS, save lives' (or 'stay (at) home, save lives (, protect the NHS)', which even ministers Dominic Raab, Matt Hancock, and Rishi Sunak have mangled at different times, I wrote a set of permutations.

I based my permutations on the formula STAY HOME, SAVE LIVES, PROTECT THE NHS. And as all the Public Health information is headed CORONAVIRUS, gave the permutations the overall title POMONA, CYRUS.

The first set of permutations numbered twelve and was also called POMONA, CYRUS. Subsequent poems will each start with one of the verses in the original poem, then spin off into new, increasingly unrelated permutations.

These further poems will be called POMONA HI-VIS, SONOMA TRY LESS, COLUMNAR EYE TEST, RAMONA PYREX, KEFALONIA IBEX, A STONER IRIS, UNKNOWN DIVIDERS, A STOMA RISES, PERSONA HIGHNESS, KIMONO BUYERS, WYNONA WRYNESS, and PLATONIC GYRUS.

Luckily I'm off work for the next two weeks, so plenty of time to write.
