suze rotolo 1943-2011
Thought I'd cover this since it hasn't been as well covered in the press as other recent stories.
It was brought to my attention over on a forum where someone linked to this story from the Village Voice.
Suze Rotolo is probably known to you as the young woman with Bob Dylan on cover of The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. Obviously she was famous because of that connection, but she was an interesting artist and person in her own right.
There's another decent obituary in the Guardian.
You can see some images of Suze Rotolo's own work over at her website.
I haven't read the book, but you can find a review of her memoir from 2009 here. I'm told it ends with the words, 'we had something to say, not something to sell.'
