vlrr - visual poem

vlrr was created using a brush. Four sketches to get to this stage. One of them I've actually folded up and put in the recycling which I already regret. That one was created dripping ink from a teaspoon, then playing around letting the ink run on the page. It didn't look any good so I did three more that were closer to this, gradually paring away and shifting elements. Sometimes it's a matter of the angle things are at, sometimes how long they are, sometimes how close they are to other elements, or how high or low comparative to other elements. At the moment I rely fairly imprecisely on whether it just feels right.
