live vocal improv fri 24 may 19
Well, here's a fucking noise. This evening's live vocal improv, held together with plastic wrap and kitchenware.
Actually I'm happy with how this sounds. I started out with not a single idea in my head, and I wasn't sure that I could think of sufficient sounds. But I had the visual score (below).
I didn't refer to the score while I was performing, but the two different patterns gave me an idea for sounds to use a base I could improvise over. That became the starting point for the improv.
I'm quite happy with how this turned out despite being even more blank than usual before I started out. And despite the visual score being really late in creation, with a lot less thought going into it than I'd have liked.
