Don't forget The Other Room experimental poetry night tonight at The Old Abbey Inn on Manchester Science Park (61 Pencroft Way, Manchester, M15 6AY). Susana Gardner, Peter Manson and Nicole Mauro read, and previews of their work can be found at The Other Room website. Doors open at 7pm, and the event is free.

Tomorrow, Thursday, is the launch event for Counting Backwards. This is the text-sound-performance night run by me, Richard Barrett, and Gary Fisher. The inaugural performers are Mike Cannell, Holly Pester and THF Drenching. It takes place at Fuel Cafe Bar in Withington (448 Wilmslow Road, Manchester, M20 3BW). Start time is 7pm and entry is free. Reviews of both events, and details of their next line-ups will follow before the weekend.
