This week I had an idea. I bought some sand egg-timers (below) for varying durations - 10, 5, 3, 2 and 1 minutes, and 30 seconds. These can be drawn at random so I can do time-limited improvs.

As I'm especially interested in doing shorter improvs I'll make most use of the shorter three. And that's what I did for my live vocal improvisations this week. Nine short improvs - three each at two minutes, one minute, and 30 seconds, in random order. Several of which were a lot better than I thought they were as I was doing them.

As usual I also had a visual score (below) to prompt me.
