matt eats... armor tail scorpions + silkworm pupae
About three weeks ago I tried some of the new insects that had just gone on sale in a UK supermarket. After that I was interested in trying some other insects, and finally got round to getting hold of them this week.
I deliberately got insects that looked less innocuous than the crickets I ate previously (video here). They were armor tail scorpions and silkworm pupae. In the event neither was off-putting and I ate them easily.
The silkworm pupae perhaps made me most apprehensive, but which tasted best? Which had a weird mix of textures? Which video did I have to reshoot, and why?
