dead bird

Some pictures of a dead bird I passed on the street today. It looks like a juvenile, but I couldn't tell you what kind of bird.

These are my favourite of the six photos I took. One of the whole bird, on of its head - with a dried berry near its beak, and one of its feet.

I didn't touch the bird to see if it was still arm although it looked fresh. I suspect the sun and heat radiating back off the pavement would have made my test a bit useless anyway.

The final photo of the bird's feet is especially nice, though it would have been better if the nearest leg and foot had been in focus. My bad - I think it would have been possible.
