svarte greiner in salford
An event for which there is no clash (see previous post) is my friend Gary Fisher performing as support to Svarte Greiner in the latest Room Tones event at the Kings Arms in Salford on Friday next week, 12 March. Doors open around 19:30 and it's £5 in.
Svarte Greiner is Norwegian Erik Skodvin, half of Deaf Center, and plays what he describes as 'acoustic doom'.
I've described Gary's work here before. He impovises sometimes using actual instruments, often using found objects, contact mics, delay pedals and cassettes. Expect crepuscular gestures of sound, sudden noises and the sensation of walking on a high wire.
According to that there poster ticket can be bought online from seetickets or wegottickets, or from Piccadilly Records in town.
