events in march and april
As mentioned previously and now confirmed here and at The Other Room the next in the Salford Concerts Series takes place next Wednesday Tuesday, March 16, at Islington Mill in Salford with Ryu Hankil. He plays non-instruments such as typewriters, clockwork and telephones. Support will come from Stuart Calton in his dictaphone wielding T.H.F. Drenching guise, and Ben Gwilliam who may be using tapes. It kicks off at 8pm and costs £5 to get in.
According to Ben himself and to the if p then q website he will be performing at The Other Room in August this year.
Also as mentioned previously it clashes with the launch event for Knives, Forks and Spoons Press just round the corner in The Crescent pub in Salford. This one kicks off at 7pm the same night, is free and features Neil Campbell, Steven Waling, Dermot Glennon, Alex Davies, and John G. Hall. It's your choice. I think it's not going to be possible to do both.
Or if you're free tonight Simon Rennie and Alec Newman will be reading at The Hole in t'Wall, Hebden Bridge at 8pm.
