two improvisations
Here are two recent improvisations I forgot to post.
The first, Trees, is one I did on Thursday night, when I had an idea for Friday's usual live vocal improv. I was afraid I'd forget so recorded it (very quietly) while lying in my bed. I also do a bit of writhing/recumbent dancing. Quiet, intimate, and possibly uncomfortable for some.
The second, Spin, is one that came to me this morning (Saturday) while doing my chores. Just a quick recording, though a little more planned than Trees. And louder. Spin was recorded stood over my washing machine and under my kitchen fan. Unlike Trees I used my lav mic for Spin, so my voice isn't drowned out. I think I may prefer this one sonically, though the better ideas are probably in the other.
